Tulip bouquets in Montevideo

Bouquets of white, pink, red and yellow tulips delivered in Montevideo, also from abroad. We open soon: leave your contact and we will let you know.

Field of white and pink long-stemmed tulips

Few flowers are recognised as quickly as a tulip: the cup shape, the long stems and the feeling of spring it brings to any table. Klumba Flores is a florist we are setting up in Montevideo, and tulip bouquets will be among those you can order.

We have not opened yet. This page explains how we plan the bouquets and how ordering will work. We have no products or prices published, and we would rather say so plainly than show you something that does not exist. If you want to hear the day we open, leave your contact in the form below.

Which tulips we will offer

The tulip is a cool-season flower, so the choice will depend on the time of year and on what arrives in good condition. We plan to work with these colours:

  • White tulips: clean and delicate, ideal for a restrained gift.
  • Pink tulips: soft and tender, a classic for birthdays and for mum.
  • Red tulips: the most direct colour, for a declaration or an anniversary.
  • Yellow tulips: bright and cheerful, lovely for 21 September.
  • Mixed colours: bouquets of a single kind or combined with greenery and other seasonal flowers.

To find out what each colour is usually associated with, see our guide to tulips: colours and meaning.

Sizes and presentation

We will work with small bouquets for a simple gesture, medium ones for everyday gifts and large ones for important occasions. Each bouquet will be wrapped with care and, if you wish, come with a card carrying your message. Tulips look best in numbers, so a bouquet of a few stems in the same colour often looks very neat.

Who a tulip bouquet suits

  • Your partner: red or pink, depending on the tone you want.
  • Your mother or grandmother: pink or white.
  • 21 September: yellow, for someone you would like to see smile.
  • A spring birthday: a mix of colours brings the season in.
  • Yourself: a bunch of tulips on the kitchen table changes the week.

How delivery in Montevideo will work

We will deliver to your door in Montevideo, with clear zones and time slots you will see before confirming the order. You will also be able to collect your bouquet at the shop. If you are abroad and want to send flowers to someone in Montevideo, the process will be the same: order online, write your message and we deliver. If the gift is a surprise, you will be able to name the recipient, leave a card and arrange the delivery so it arrives at the right moment.

For busy dates such as 21 September or Mother’s Day, it is best to order a few days ahead.

How to care for your tulips

Tulips keep growing after they are cut. Trim the stem ends at an angle, use a clean vase with very cool water, and keep the bouquet somewhere cool, away from direct sun and heaters. It is normal for the stems to lean towards the light.

Frequently asked questions

When are tulips available in Uruguay?
The tulip is a cool-season flower: it blooms at the end of winter and in spring. Florists usually have them in that period, and outside it the choice tends to be smaller. When we open we will tell you which colours are available at each moment.
Can I order a tulip bouquet for delivery in Montevideo?
That is what we are preparing. Once we open you will be able to choose the bouquet, add a card and have it delivered to any address in Montevideo. Leave your contact and we will tell you.
What do tulips of each colour mean?
Red is linked to love, pink to affection, white to calm and forgiveness, and yellow to cheerfulness. These are cultural conventions; the gesture is what counts. We explain more in the guide.
How much do tulips cost?
We have not published prices yet because we have not opened. When the shop is ready you will see the price of each bouquet before you order.
