A bouquet of sunflowers does what almost no other flower manages: it fills a room with colour without trying. Klumba Flores is a florist we are setting up in Montevideo, and sunflowers will be among the flowers you can order.
We have not opened yet. This page explains how we plan the bouquets and how ordering will work. We have no products or prices published, and we would rather say so plainly than show you something that does not exist. If you want to hear the day we open, leave your contact in the form below.
Which sunflower bouquets we will offer
The sunflower is a summer flower with a lot of presence, so it looks good with only a few stems. We plan to make:
- Sunflower-only bouquets: three, five or more stems with greenery around them. Simple and striking.
- Sunflowers with other flowers: combined with daisies, roses, lisianthus or foliage for a less uniform bouquet.
- Bouquets with other yellows: for anyone who wants an all-warm-tones bouquet. If that appeals, take a look at the yellow flower bouquets.

Sizes and presentation
We will work with small bouquets for a small gesture, medium ones for everyday gifts and large ones for special occasions. Each bouquet will be wrapped with care and, if you wish, come with a card carrying your message. Because sunflower heads are heavy, we make them up with firm stems so they do not droop.
Who a sunflower bouquet suits
- Birthdays: for someone who likes cheerful, straightforward things.
- Thank-yous: to a colleague, a neighbour or anyone who gave you a hand.
- A recovery or a change: a bouquet like this lifts spirits.
- 21 September: sunflowers fit very well into that day’s yellow bouquets.
- Yourself: you do not need an occasion.
How delivery in Montevideo will work
We will deliver to your door in Montevideo, with clear zones and time slots you will see before confirming the order. You will also be able to collect your bouquet at the shop. If you are abroad and want to send flowers to someone in Montevideo, the process will be the same: order online, write your message and we deliver. If the gift is a surprise, you will be able to name the recipient, leave a card and arrange the delivery so it arrives at the right moment.
For busy dates such as 21 September, it is best to order a few days ahead.
How to care for your sunflowers
Sunflowers drink a lot. Trim the stem ends at an angle, remove the leaves that would sit under the water, use a clean, tall vase, and check the water level every day. Keep them away from direct sun and heaters so they last longer.
