Few gifts are as instantly recognisable as a bouquet of roses. It needs no explanation, suits almost any occasion and changes completely with the colour, the number of stems and how it is put together. Klumba Flores is a florist we are preparing in Montevideo, and rose bouquets will be among the first things you can order.

Which roses we will offer
Roses come in many versions, and each one says something different:
- Red roses: the romantic classic, the usual choice for anniversaries, Valentine’s Day or a declaration.
- Pink roses: softer and warmer. Good for birthdays, a mother, a sister or a friend.
- White roses: calm and bright, often used to say thank you, to comfort someone or to mark a fresh start.
- Yellow and orange roses: cheerful and warm, ideal for friendship and good news.
- Mixed colours: combined with greenery and filler flowers for a more natural, less formal bouquet.

Sizes and presentation
We will work with small bouquets for a simple gesture, the classic bouquet of 12 roses, and larger ones for important moments. We will also make single-rose bouquets with careful wrapping. Every bouquet will be wrapped neatly and, if you wish, come with a card carrying your message.
Who a rose bouquet suits
- Your partner, for anniversaries, Valentine’s Day or an ordinary day.
- Your mother or grandmother, with pink or white roses.
- A friend, with yellow or mixed roses.
- A farewell or a tribute, with white roses, which read as calm and respectful.
- Yourself: you do not need a date to have roses at home.
How delivery in Montevideo will work
We will deliver to your door in Montevideo, with clear zones and time slots you will see before confirming the order. You will also be able to collect your bouquet at the shop. If the gift is a surprise, you will be able to name the recipient, leave a card and arrange the delivery so it arrives at the right moment. If you are abroad and want to send flowers to someone in Montevideo, the process will be the same: order online, write your message and we deliver.
For set dates such as Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day, it is best to order ahead. This is general advice: florists everywhere tend to be busier around those dates.
How to care for a rose bouquet
To make them last, cut the stems at an angle, use a clean vase with clean water and change it every two days. Remove leaves that would sit under the water and keep the bouquet away from direct sun, heaters and ripening fruit. With this care, fresh roses usually last several days.
