Sending new baby flowers is a lovely way to say “we are with you” without taking up space or time in days that are, above all, for rest. At Klumba Flores we make soft-toned bouquets to congratulate a family that has just welcomed their baby, delivered anywhere in Montevideo with a card handwritten with your words.
Which flowers to choose for a newborn
Light, bright bouquets usually work best for a birth: they cheer the room up without overwhelming it.
- Whites and creams: daisies, white roses, lisianthus. Calm and right for any home.
- Soft pinks: pink roses or tulips, for a tender bouquet that is not too sweet.
- Pale yellows: a cheerful, neutral option if you do not yet know the family’s taste.
- Plenty of greenery: foliage keeps the bouquet fresh and natural.
A practical tip: with a baby at home, it is better to avoid flowers with a very strong scent or a lot of pollen. If the family has pets, also see our guide to flowers toxic to cats and dogs. And if you are curious about what each flower conveys, flower names and their meaning has ideas to help you choose.
Hospital or home?
Many people first think of bringing flowers to the maternity ward, but it is not always possible. Some hospitals and neonatal units restrict fresh flowers, and the stay is often short anyway. Before ordering:
- Ask the family or the hospital whether flowers are allowed in the room.
- If in doubt, send them home for the day they return; the bouquet will be enjoyed for longer there.
- Pick the time slot that suits them best: 8–12, 12–16 or 16–20.
The recipient can be someone other than the buyer: leave their name and phone number, and the courier will contact them to arrange the delivery. That way nobody gets woken by the doorbell at the wrong moment.
Sizes and card
We work with three sizes, S, M and L. An S bouquet is a thoughtful small gesture that fits any corner; M is the most popular gift; L is for when you want it to stand out, for example from a whole group of friends or colleagues. If in doubt, M is a safe bet: it looks generous and fits nicely on a bedside table or a dresser.
Every bouquet comes with a card handwritten with your message. We use seasonal flowers, so the mix may vary slightly from the photo while keeping the colours and style you chose.
