A yellow bouquet is one of those simple gifts that almost always lands well: it is cheerful, it looks good in any room and it needs no explanation. Klumba Flores is a florist being set up in Montevideo, and yellow bouquets will be among the first you can order.
We have not opened yet. This page explains what the bouquets will be like and how ordering will work. There are no products or prices published, and we would rather say so plainly than show you something that does not exist. If you want to hear the day we open, leave your contact in the form below.
Which flowers we plan to offer
Yellow comes in many shapes, so the bouquets will vary with the flower:
- Yellow roses: the classic choice. A neat, elegant bouquet that suits almost any occasion.
- Sunflowers: big, bold and full of presence. They look great in a bouquet with just a few stems.
- Yellow daisies and chrysanthemums: lighter and fresher, perfect for a simple gesture.
- Seasonal tulips and freesias: when they are in season, they add colour and scent to the mix.
We will also pair yellow with white, green and touches of other colours so the bouquet never looks flat. The aim is bouquets that look natural and well made, not overloaded.
Sizes and presentation
We will offer small bouquets for a quick gesture, medium ones for everyday gifts and large ones for the big moments. Each bouquet is wrapped with care and, if you like, comes with a card carrying your message. When we open you will see the details of every option before you decide.
Who a yellow bouquet is for
Yellow flowers are a popular gift for:
- 21 September, when spring starts and Uruguayan tradition says to give yellow flowers to friends, mothers, partners and colleagues. If you are curious where the custom comes from and what each flower means, read our guide to yellow flowers on 21 September.
- Birthdays, especially for someone you want to see smile the moment they open the door.
- Thank-yous: a teacher, a neighbour, anyone who helped you out.
- Cheering someone up: yellow lifts the mood just by looking at it.
- Any ordinary day: you do not need a date to give flowers.
How delivery in Montevideo will work
We will deliver across Montevideo, with clear zones and time slots you will see before confirming your order. You will also be able to collect your bouquet at the shop. If the gift is a surprise, you will be able to name the recipient, add a card and arrange delivery so it arrives at the right moment.
If you are living in Uruguay or sending flowers from abroad, order a few days ahead for busy dates such as 21 September. Demand tends to concentrate around that date.
Looking after yellow flowers
To make them last, trim the stems at an angle, use clean water in a clean vase and change the water every two days. Keep the bouquet out of direct sun and away from heaters.
