An eternal rose is a natural rose that has been preserved so it keeps its look for much longer than a fresh flower. It does not go in water and it does not need watering: you put it somewhere dry and it stays as a decoration. Klumba Flores is a florist we are preparing in Montevideo, and eternal roses will be among the things you can order.

What eternal roses are
Eternal roses, also called preserved roses, are natural roses that go through a preservation process: the sap is replaced with a solution, usually glycerine-based, and sometimes the flower is dyed. The result feels soft and looks similar to a fresh rose, but it does not wilt the way a cut one does. They are not artificial: the petals belong to a real rose.

How long an eternal rose lasts
This is a question that comes up a lot. Makers usually speak of one to three years, and some say more, as long as it is looked after. Treat that number as a reference, not a guarantee: real lifespan depends on the product, the light and the humidity of the room. We will deliver to your door in Montevideo, with clear zones and time slots you will see before confirming the order. You will also be able to pick up your order at the shop. You can add a card with your message and arrange the delivery. For busy dates, it is best to order ahead.
How to care for an eternal rose
Keep it dry, away from direct sun, humidity and heat sources. Do not wet it or put it in water. Avoid handling the petals often: they are more delicate than they look. A little dust can be removed with a gentle puff of air or a soft brush.
